Welcome to Nano2Life
Nano2Life is the first European Network of Excellence in nanobiotechnology. Its objective is to make Europe a leader in nanobiotechnology by merging existing expertise and knowledge in the field of nanobiotechnology. Founded in 2004, Nano2Life comprises 23 major European organizations within the field of nanobiotechnology.

Paper of the Month

Field-dependant DNA mobility in nanoslits was investigated in a cooperation between scientists of two Nano2Life members at the University in Twente (NL) and the university of Lund (SE). The results led to the conclusion that the classical interpretation of the transport behaviour of DNA under higher fields with the viscous friction models needs to be modified when taking these new results into account. Company of the Month

MoBiTec GmbH is a privately held company founded in 1987 that offers research tools for molecular and cell biology. With its focus on fluorescence technology, integrating into the nanobiotech field, MoBiTec is continuously looking for new products and marketable technologies for licensing and is therefore strongly interested in scientific collaborations in order to develop innovative product ideas. Nano2Life Scientific Meeting 2008
About 120 researchers from the network coming from 12 EU Member States or Associated Countries attended the Nano2Life scientific meeting held at Heraklion, Crete, between 25–27 June.

Master degree «Nanoscience and Nanotechnology» (N2) in Grenoble. (CEA)
The Master N2 programme provides the appropriate background to both fundamental and applied doctoral studies in the rapidly developing and diverse Nano areas. It also prepares student for a high-level appointment in the nanotechnology industry.

Nano School Kit - Cooperation Partners Wanted
Nano2Life partner NanoBioNet e.V. has developed a multi-lingual (German, English and French) experimental kit (NanoSchoolBox) to teach school students about nanotechnology.

Registration Deadline 20th May! - Nano2Life Summer School in Athens
The 3rd Nano2Life Summer School "Methods in Micro-Nano-technology and Nano-biotechnology”, will take place in Demokritos, Athens, Greece, June 30- July 10, 2008, right after the Scientific Meeting of Nano2Life in Crete, Greece.
